Scrawled filefish
Cock van Oosterhout (UEA)
NRP-108

This scrawled filefish (Aluterus scriptus) was photographed on a station of cleaner gobies on Booby Reef in Tobago as part of an NRP research project. This species of fish in particular is a regular visitor to the cleaning stations on the coral reefs, returning on a daily basis. The researchers from the University of East Anglia and Cardiff University are conducting a long-term analysis of fish biodiversity in the reefs of Tobago.
